| Since early childhood Mr. Robinson has been deeply interested in every aspect of the fiber arts. As a child living with his Danish grandparents Mr. Robinson learned the arts of crochet, knitting, and stitchery, along with learning all about knotting from his six sea-going uncles. From his Scotch-Irish grandparents on his father’s side he was taught garment making, what is referred to now as “wearable art.” These skills have remained with him until today.
Presently Mr. Robinson is involved in beading, collage, crocheting, knitting, quilting, and wearable art. |
For 18 years Mr. Robinson was an exhibiting member of the Potomac Craftsmen Gallery, a fiber arts cooperative gallery located in The Torpedo Factory Art Center, Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.
His work has also been exhibited at: Springwater Fiber Workshop, Alexandria, Virginia; Strathmore Hall Arts Center, Rockville, Maryland; and Florida Craftsmen Gallery, St. Petersburg, Florida..
